FutureRange Ltd. seeks a Senior Network & Security Engineer (Level 3) to design, implement and support enterprise security solutions in a hands-on role. You’ll deploy firewalls, VPNs and SASE with leading vendors and help shape customer engagements.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of network security experience, strong vendor certifications and a track record in presales or consultancy within enterprise environments. Hybrid work with Limerick base offered.

Qualifications

• Hands-on deployment and support of enterprise networks.
• Experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet, SonicWall firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of SASE platforms (Cato, Versa).
• Presales or consultancy experience with enterprise or MSP environments.
• Relevant certifications preferred.
• Experience with Azure or AWS networking.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network & Security Engineer (Level 3) to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role involving project delivery, advanced support, and presales consultancy across a range of security and networking technologies.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise with firewalls including Palo Alto, Fortinet and SonicWall, as well as SASE platforms such as Cato and Versa. They will also have proven experience in implementing and supporting enterprise-class solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

• Design, configure and implement secure network and security solutions.
• Lead the deployment of firewalls, VPNs and SASE solutions across customer environments.
• Ensure best practice around scalability, performance and compliance.

Support & Operations

• Act as the Level 3 escalation point for complex incidents and problem resolution.
• Perform proactive monitoring, troubleshooting and optimisation of security infrastructure.
• Conduct root cause analysis and produce post-incident reports.
• Assist the sales team with technical scoping, solution design and proposal development.
• Participate in customer meetings, workshops and presentations.
• Provide guidance on emerging security and networking trends.
• Work closely with internal teams, vendors and customers to deliver successful outcomes.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
• Stay up to date with new product developments and certifications.

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years’ experience in network and security engineering, with hands-on deployment and support experience.
• Expertise with Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet and SonicWall firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of SASE platforms, including Cato Networks and Versa.
• Deep understanding of routing, switching, VPNs, SD-WAN and cloud networking.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-level projects from start to finish.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to act as the final escalation point.
• Presales or consultancy experience with customers in enterprise or MSP environments.
• Familiarity with SIEM, SOC and endpoint security solutions.
• Relevant certifications such as PCNSE, NSE4/7, CSSP, CCNP Security or SASE vendor certifications.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS networking and security.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, IT or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Industry certifications are strongly preferred.
