Job summary

Mercury in Dublin is seeking an ICT Estimator to develop competitive tenders and detailed estimates for pre-design and D&B projects. The role involves coordinating with subcontractors, site project managers and suppliers to ensure accurate costings.

You will perform take-offs from drawings, cost calculations and labour rates, supporting a busy estimating team in a challenging environment. A construction background in ICT or related sectors is desirable.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Understand methods of measurement and the concept of cost/valuation reconciliations.
• Full training will be given as part of Estimation course.
• Would suit a trades person moving to an office-based role.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Construction background, electrical and/or ICT industry.

Responsibilities

• Produce competitive tenders/detailed estimates for pre-design or D&B projects.
• Ensure sub-contractor quotes comply with specification.
• Complete take-offs from tender drawings and labour rates.
• Work closely with site Project Managers and Suppliers.
• All other duties associated with this role.
