Job summary

Our client in Dublin is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its construction team. The role focuses on preparing detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation, with close collaboration with design, commercial and site teams to validate pricing assumptions.

The ideal candidate will have proven Estimator experience in the construction sector, strong Excel skills, familiarity with estimating software, and the ability to manage multiple tenders to tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction sector.
• Experience with tendering and pre-contract processes is essential.
• Ability to prepare bills of quantities and take-offs from drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities and take-offs from drawings, specs and tender docs.
• Review tender docs and site info to identify risks, exclusions and commercial opportunities.
• Obtain and compare quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure quotations match project scope, programme and requirements.
• Maintain estimating records and databases.
