Job summary

Flex is seeking a Hyperscale Mechanical Engineer based in Dundalk, Ireland. You will design mechanical aspects of switchboards and related products for production, ensuring accurate drawings and smooth production handoffs.

You will collaborate with multiple disciplines, read schematics, and support testing and field operations as required. A background in electrical equipment design and CAD proficiency are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience designing mechanical parts for electrical equipment preferred.
• Proficient with 3D CAD and sheet metal design.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D mechanical designs of switchboards and related products for production.
• Ensure shop floor drawings are accurate and easy to follow.
• Assist Production/Test in resolving design issues for new and existing products.
• Support shop floor and client witness testing as needed.
