Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd. is partnering with a Wexford-based structural steel business to recruit a Structural Steel Estimator. The role focuses on taking ownership of tenders, turning project requirements into competitive, commercially viable estimates and supporting successful project handovers.

You will review drawings, prepare detailed estimates, manage multiple tenders and liaise with clients and suppliers across Ireland and the UK within a hybrid working arrangement.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating structural steel fabrication projects.
• Ability to interpret structural drawings, technical specs and tender docs.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
• Commercial awareness including project costs and supplier pricing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for structural steel fabrication and erection projects.
• Review drawings and tender docs to establish scope and requirements.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities within each tender.
• Prepare material take-offs and tender submissions.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal teams throughout the tender process.
• Support handover of successful tenders to projects teams.
