Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Site Quantity Surveyor for a specialist structural steel contractor delivering design, fabrication and erection projects across Ireland and the UK.

You will manage commercial activities on live works, measuring, valuing and ensuring proper payment while tracking costs and risks. Based on site in Ireland, with potential UK travel, you will collaborate with site managers and the commercial team, using Tekla data to support accurate measurement and reporting,

Qualifications

• Proven experience valuing structural steelwork on live projects.
• Ability to read and interpret structural steel drawings.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, variations, valuations and claims.
• Experience monitoring progress and forecasting remaining costs.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and commercial mindset.

Responsibilities

• Measure and value completed structural steelwork.
• Prepare and submit monthly applications for payment.
• Track site progress against fabrication and erection programmes.
• Identify, price and negotiate variations and additional works.
• Support preparation and submission of contractual claims.
• Review drawings, specifications and contract documents for opportunities and risks.
• Reconcile site records with fabrication output and erection progress.
• Monitor project costs and produce cost-to-complete forecasts.
• Provide clear commercial reports and recommendations to Project Managers.
• Assist with final accounts and ensure cost system alignment.
• Collaborate with commercial team to reflect site information in project models.
• Utilise Tekla and project data for accurate measurement and reporting.
