Job summary

ICON Clinical Research is seeking a Level 3 Senior Network Engineer (Cisco ACI required) to lead complex network initiatives in a global enterprise. You will drive technical decisions, own escalation, and mentor junior engineers while partnering with Cyber Security and IT Operations.

The role requires 10+ years of hands-on networking, with strong Cisco ACI, Fortinet, and SD‑WAN skills. This is an office hybrid position with 60% attendance at our HQ in Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland.

Qualifications

Minimum 10+ years of enterprise networking experience.
Strong expertise in Cisco ACI, Fortinet Firewalls, NetScaler/F5 Load Balancers.
Experience with SD‑WAN technologies (preferably CATO).
Proven experience in enterprise routing and switching and cloud networking.

Responsibilities

Act as the highest technical escalation point for critical network incidents.
Lead troubleshooting across multi‑vendor environments and perform RCA for major incidents.
Design, review, and implement network solutions in line with enterprise standards.
Lead network implementation activities for global infrastructure projects.
Provide mentorship to Level 1/2 engineers and participate in major incident calls.
