Job summary

TEKsystems in Dublin, Ireland is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support and develop enterprise-scale network infrastructure, including Cisco Nexus, ASA and F5 in a data‑centre environment.

You will provide expert-level BAU support and contribute to strategic projects, with a hybrid work model (3 days on-site, 2 remote) and a contract of 12 months. Relevant Cisco ITIL practices and vendor coordination are expected.

Qualifications

• CCNP with routing and switching or security certification.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus, ASA and F5 in a data centre.
• Experience in ITIL processes in a 24x7 operations environment with tight SLA.
• Strong network design and management skills including VPNs and firewalls.
• Experience with Cisco ASR, Nexus, F5 LTM, DNS load balancers.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level support for the network infrastructure that underpins data center services.
• Monitor, review and report network service levels; address issues and trends.
• Complete network activities on time; align with schedules.
• Work with architects and PMs to identify, assess and present network solutions.
• Build and deploy agreed solutions within timelines.
• Develop, implement and test disaster recovery and failover plans.
• Maintain acceptance criteria for network solutions; ensure production transition readiness.
• Ensure 24x7 monitoring for availability, capacity and performance.
• Monitor capacity and proactively address potential issues.
• Follow events, incidents and requests processes; ensure timely handling.
• Ensure compliance with security policies; document networks and runbooks.
• Maintain relationships to maximize collaboration and service improvements.
• Lead or assist with service improvements and automation opportunities.
• Provide consultation to customers on in-life solutions.
