Job summary

ABB is seeking experienced Power Systems Engineers to work on a range of global projects in a hybrid model. The role focuses on power system studies, protection coordination, and renewable energy integration while mentoring junior engineers and delivering clear, actionable insights.

You will collaborate with clients to understand technical and business requirements, translate them into practical solutions, and ensure quality, timelines, and budgets are met. English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Skilled in power system studies including load flow, short circuit and protection coordination.
• 2+ years of experience in power systems engineering delivering reliable electrical solutions.
• Advanced knowledge of power system analysis tools such as SKM, EasyPower, ETAP or similar.
• Experience in protection system design, settings development and coordination studies.
• Experience with IEC standards in electrical design.
• Knowledge of power quality, harmonics and renewable energy integration would be an advantage.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Able to communicate in English and present complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical input and leadership on complex projects for global clients.
• Collaborating with clients to translate technical and business needs into practical engineering solutions.
• Ensuring outputs meet client expectations, quality standards, timelines, and budgets.
• Conducting power systems analyses using established methodologies and software.
• Preparing detailed technical and non-technical reports with clear recommendations.
• Communicating with clients in meetings and through written updates.
• Mentoring junior engineers and supporting online training where applicable.
• Tracking project performance and client satisfaction.
