Job summary

Student Sport Ireland invites applications for the full-time role of Performance Manager, based at Irish Sport HQ, Dublin 15, with hybrid working flexibility. Starting salary €40,000 with pension and 23 days annual leave. 3-year contract subject to a 6-month probation and closing date 23 October 2026.

The role focuses on leading and coordinating HE performance sport, building strategic partnerships, and developing ASAS frameworks and welfare policies in collaboration with Sport Ireland and HEIs.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in a similar role.
• Proven knowledge of the Irish performance sports sector.
• Full, clean driving license and access to own transport.

Responsibilities

• Position the HE sector as a strategic partner in the Irish high performance system.
• Coordinate engagement with HEIs to build the ASAS framework and related policies.
• Lead the development of student athlete welfare policies and education programmes.
• Develop funding opportunities for HE performance sport initiatives.
• Coordinate HEI performance sport related research and data-driven decision-making.
• Support the SSI Performance Committee and High Performance Taskforce.
