Job summary

Syme Drummond Ltd, in partnership with William Grant & Sons, is seeking an HR Adviser for a nine‑month maternity cover at the Tullamore site. This generalist role gives ownership of HR for a close-knit site of around 90 people, with four days on site and one day working from home.

You’ll advise leaders and staff on employee relations, recruitment, absence management, engagement and development as part of the site leadership.

Qualifications

• Previous HR Adviser/generalist experience.
• Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation.
• Experience supporting employee relations, absence management, recruitment and lifecycle activities.
• Experience in FMCG/manufacturing environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical HR advice to leaders and employees across the site.
• Manage recruitment and selection from requisition to offer.
• Support employee relations matters and formal processes.
• Collaborate with managers on absence management and daily people matters.
• Coordinate local learning and development activity.
• Support employee engagement initiatives and events.
• Monitor HR metrics and use data to identify needs and interventions.
• Contribute to local HR projects and wider business initiatives.
