Job summary

The Financial Analyst role in Westmeath sits within a 20+ person FP&A team at a multinational medical device manufacturing company. The position is based in Ireland with easy commutes from surrounding counties and involves two days onsite per week to support cost centre budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, using SAP to track project costs.

You will work with Finance Business Partners and the Finance Manager, engaging with budget owners and contributing to the annual budget.

Qualifications

• Experience with budgeting and variance analysis across cost centres.
• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience using SAP for project cost tracking and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Analyse monthly spend across cost centres in Ireland and overseas and report variance vs budget.
• Engage with budget owners to identify variance drivers and mitigate repeats.
• Provide commentary on variances for monthly board packs.
• Work with GL team to repost journals and close projects in cost centres.
• Contribute to sustainability reporting and IT/HR project spend.
• Assist with preparing the annual budget for next fiscal year.
