Job summary

Jones Engineering is seeking a skilled EHS Officer in Cork to join our team hybrid, with Cork Office base and site visits as required. The role focuses on ensuring safe, efficient EHS operations across projects, reporting to the Operations and EHS Manager.

The successful candidate will review safety documentation, implement the Safety Management System, conduct site inspections, and deliver safety training while coordinating with project teams to uphold high safety standards and continuous

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar EHS Advisor role (essential).
• Experience working in the construction sector (desirable).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (required).
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide regular review of safety documentation, RAMS and task plans.
• Ensure site personnel comply with site safety and company requirements.
• Implement and maintain the company's Safety Management System.
• Complete regular site inspections and audits, reporting findings to the EHS Manager.
• Identify training needs and update KPIs as required.
• Deliver and attend weekly toolbox talks.
• Carry out mandatory safety training when required.
• Carry out daily site walks and report findings to project supervisors.
• Advise and assist site teams in drafting Safe Plans of Action.
