Job summary

RecruitDuo is seeking an experienced EHS Officer to join our team in Kildare. You will collaborate with the EHS Manager and Site Project Manager to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations throughout project execution.

Responsibilities include developing method statements and risk assessments, conducting audits and investigations, guiding project management on on-site best practices, delivering toolbox talks, and reporting EHS performance.

Qualifications

• Five years of proven experience as an EHS Officer, preferably in construction.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 management systems.
• A Level 7 or 8 qualification in Health and Safety is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with project stakeholders.

We are currently seeking an experienced EHS Officer to join our team and contribute to our project in Kildare.

The EHS Officer will collaborate closely with the EHS Manager/Site Project Manager to ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations throughout project execution. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact by implementing best practices, conducting audits, and fostering a culture of safety excellence.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Collaborate with clients to ensure project compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.

Develop Method Statements and Risk Assessments in coordination with supervisors/foremen.

Conduct EHS audits and Accident/Incident investigations, implementing corrective and preventive measures.

Provide guidance to Project Management on site-specific EHS best practices.

Plan and deliver training sessions, including Toolbox Talks, to promote a safety-oriented culture.

Report on EHS performance metrics as required.

Actively promote and enforce company EHS policies and procedures.

Provide support to the EHS department and collaborate with fellow EHS Officers as needed.

Key Skills and Competencies

A Level 7 or level 8 qualification in Health and Safety is preferred

Minimum of five years of proven experience as an EHS Officer, preferably in a construction environment

Familiarity with high-compliance environments such as Pharma, Med/Tech, or similar industries

Knowledge of Integrated Management Systems, including ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001

Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with project stakeholders

Proactive mindset with a customer-focused approach

Excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Word and Excel
