Job summary

Jones Engineering is seeking an EHS Officer for our Cork operation. Hybrid role at Cork Office (Little Island) with site visits as required.

You will report to the Operations and EHS Manager and drive the safety management program across projects. The successful candidate will have a relevant EHS qualification and at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role, with strong Microsoft Office skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with site teams.

Qualifications

• 3rd-level EHS qualification is essential.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar EHS Advisor role is essential.
• Experience in the construction sector is desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
• Strong organisational and planning skills are essential.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Review safety documentation, RAMS and task plans regularly.
• Ensure site personnel comply with site safety and company requirements.
• Implement and maintain the company’s Safety Management System.
• Complete regular site inspections and audits and report findings.
• Identify training needs and update KPI’s as required or requested by the Operations Manager.
• Deliver and attend weekly toolbox talks and carry out mandatory safety training.
• Conduct daily site walks and report findings to project supervisors.
• Assist site teams in drafting Safe Plans of Action.
