Job summary

Royal London Ireland invites an experienced Claims Team Leader to guide the Claims function within a Dublin-based, hybrid setup (50% home/office). You will lead, coach and develop the team, ensure service excellence, governance and regulatory compliance, and act as the senior referral point for complex, high-value claims.

Qualifications

• DLDC, ACII or QFA (including APA) required or equivalent qualifications.
• Equivalent industry qualifications considered for the role.
• Experience in life and disability claims essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop all claims colleagues.
• Manage claims service delivery, workload planning and performance.
• Act as senior referral point for complex, sensitive and high-value claims.
• Provide technical guidance on claims assessment, retrospective underwriting and claims philosophy.
• Oversee claims quality assurance, governance and continuous improvement.
• Build relationships with reinsurers, brokers, medical experts and internal stakeholders.
• Use data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Support regulatory, system, service and process change initiatives.
• Embed risk and compliance culture within the Claims team.
• Ensure fair, timely and consistent claims decisions.
