Job summary

Royal London Ireland, based in Dublin, seeks a Claims Team Leader to drive the Claims function with strong people leadership and deep technical claims expertise to ensure fair outcomes and timely, compassionate support for customers.

You will lead day-to-day operations, coach the team, manage performance, and act as a senior technical referral point for complex claims while aligning with governance and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in life and disability claims assessment.
• Previous leadership or team management experience.
• Knowledge of Irish regulatory requirements and the insurance claims environment.
• Ability to analyse data, identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop all claims colleagues.
• Manage claims service delivery, workload planning and performance.
• Act as senior referral point for complex, high-value claims.
• Provide technical guidance on claims assessment and underwriting.
• Oversee quality assurance, governance and continuous improvement.
• Build relationships with reinsurers, brokers and internal stakeholders.
• Use data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Support regulatory, system and process change initiatives.
