Job summary

Royal London Ireland is recruiting an experienced Claims Team Leader in Dublin/Hybrid arrangement to lead the Claims function. You will manage day‑to‑day leadership, ensure high customer service standards, governance and regulatory compliance, and act as the senior technical point for complex claims while developing a high‑performing team.

You will guide claims assessment, retrospective underwriting, and claims philosophy, overseeing QA, data analysis and stakeholder collaboration to deliver

• Experience leading claims teams in life and disability claims.
• Strong people leadership and coaching capability.
• Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop all claims colleagues.
• Oversee claims service delivery, workload planning and performance.
• Act as senior referral point for complex and high‑value claims.
• Provide technical guidance on claims assessment, underwriting and philosophy.
• Oversee quality assurance, governance and improvement activities.
• Build relationships with reinsurers, brokers and medical experts.
• Use data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Support regulatory, system and process change initiatives.
• Embed risk and compliance culture within the team.
• Ensure fair, timely and consistent claims decisions.
