Job summary

Canada Life Reinsurance (CL Re) is seeking an actuary for the Actuarial Reporting - Transaction Reporting team in Dublin. The role involves delivering financial and capital reporting for a diverse portfolio of transactions and collaborating across Actuarial, Finance, Operations and Business Development.

The ideal candidate will have actuarial exams and 3+ years in life insurance or life reinsurance, with experience in financial reporting, cash flow modelling and data management, plus strong

Qualifications

• Completed actuarial examinations with at least three years relevant life actuarial or life reinsurance experience.
• Experience in financial reporting, cash flow modelling or data management.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint; experience with actuarial modelling (Prophet).

Responsibilities

• Produce the financial and capital reporting deliverables for CL Re’s significant portfolio of transactions.
• Complete quarterly liabilities, earnings and capital reporting deliverables.
• Prepare the annual business plan and the Financial Condition Testing (FCT) of that plan.
• Collaborate with Dublin functions to implement new transactions and deliver high-standard reporting outputs.
• Analyse transaction performance to provide detailed liability movements, earnings and capital insights.
• Draft accurate, concise documentation and communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Assist in design and implementation of improvements to reporting models and governance controls.
• Support Lifeco group projects and strategic initiatives.
• Keep up to date with best practices through colleagues and professional bodies.
