Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ireland Limited seeks a qualified Electrician, Electrical Technician, or Engineering graduate to join the team responsible for the East West Interconnector. You will participate in operation, maintenance and reliability activities for Ireland's critical HVDC link, primarily based at Portan HVDC Converter Station near Batterstown, Co.

Meath. This role requires a full driving licence, willingness to travel, and involvement in a 24/7 on-call rota.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician or Electrical Technician or Engineering graduate.
• Experience with electrical power systems or industrial electrical equipment.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rota.

Responsibilities

• Support safe and reliable operation of the East West Interconnector.
• Perform inspections, testing and preventative maintenance.
• Support commissioning, upgrades and outages.
• Provide technical support to site teams and customers.
• Complete maintenance records and technical reports.
• Contribute to root cause investigations and continuous improvement.
