Apex Pros Plumbing, Electric, Heating & Air is seeking an HVAC Manager to join our fast-growing team. This hands-on leadership role will oversee field teams, ensure quality and customer satisfaction, and drive profitability as we scale operations.

You will partner with office and department leaders to keep jobs moving smoothly from start to finish, hire and develop team members, and uphold our 5-step customer process while maintaining safety and codes.

Apex Pros Plumbing, Electric, Heating & Air is growing fast. Since 2021, we've gone from three vans to a fleet serving homeowners across Columbus and Dayton, and we're just getting started. What hasn't changed is our goal: delivering a 5-star experience on every visit. Our Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical teams are trained to a shared set of standards, from how we greet a customer to how we leave their home, ensuring every job is done right the first time.

Due to our continued growth, we're looking to add an additional HVAC Manager to our management team. We're seeking someone with residential service leadership experience who knows how to turn growth into great execution.

This is a hands-on leadership role on the Apex management team. You'll lead field teams and the people who manage them, keep operations organized as our volume grows, and ensure every job meets Apex standards and customer expectations. You'll work closely with other department leaders and the office team, with accountability for your department's quality, profitability, and growth.

Lead operations

• Run the day-to-day operation for the teams you lead: scheduling, crew assignments and keeping work on track.
• Plan workload and staffing ahead of demand, especially before busy seasons.
• Track labor, costs and profit against goals and correct course early.
• Build simple, repeatable processes that hold up as the company scales.

Work across the business

• Work with the office and other department leaders to keep jobs moving smoothly from start to finish.
• Bring a solutions-first attitude to cross-team problems and share what's working across divisions.
• Quality, safety and customer experience
• Spend time in the field every week inspecting work and supporting your teams.
• Ensure every job meets Apex performance standards, applicable codes and safety requirements.
• Hold the team to our "5 Steps to 5 Stars" customer process: Greet, Stage, Perform, Clean Up, Satisfy.
• Step in to resolve customer concerns and problems in the field, and follow through on any safety issues.

Team leadership and development

• Build a culture of care: for customers, for their homes and for each other.
• Hire, train, coach and mentor team leads, technicians and apprentices.
• Develop the next generation of Apex leaders as we grow.
