Job summary

White-Recruitment is seeking an experienced Estimation Manager in Dublin to lead the HVAC estimation department, oversee a team of estimators, engineers and CAD technicians, and ensure accurate, competitive tender submissions.

You will review tenders, drawings and specifications, manage workloads, and coordinate with suppliers to optimize pricing and equipment selections while maintaining quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Senior role requiring HVAC/building services expertise.
• Experience in estimating, applications, design or technical sales.
• Previous team leadership or management experience.
• Knowledge of commercial heating and cooling equipment.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with boilers, heat pumps, chillers, ventilation or HVAC plant.
• Commercial awareness with strong attention to detail.
• Confident dealing with consultants, contractors and manufacturers.
• Mechanical/Building Services Engineering qualification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day HVAC estimation department
• Lead, support and develop estimators, engineers and CAD technicians
• Review incoming tenders, specifications and mechanical drawings
• Allocate workload and manage tender deadlines
• Produce and review HVAC equipment selections and quotations
• Oversee technical submittals and tender documentation
• Ensure equipment is correctly selected against project specifications
• Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers on pricing and selections
• Liaise with mechanical contractors, consultants and internal sales teams
• Review margins and commercial terms before tender submission
• Support value engineering and alternative equipment selections
• Manage tender handovers to sales and project teams
• Improve estimating processes, systems and reporting
