HR Officer | Food Manufacturing | Kildare

I’m currently recruiting for an HR Officer to join a well-established and growing food manufacturing business in Kildare. This is a hands-on, generalist HR role supporting a busy operational environment, with exposure across recruitment, employee relations, HR administration, training and development, reporting and HR systems.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 8-5pm
Responsibilities:
- Managing end-to-end recruitment, with particular responsibility for General Operative recruitment.
- Working with hiring managers across the business on advertising, shortlisting, interviewing and offers.
- Advising managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and employee relations matters.
- Supporting and managing grievance and disciplinary processes.
- Delivering new employee inductions and supporting training and development requirements.
- Working closely with payroll on new hires, promotions, leavers and other employee-related changes.
- Maintaining accurate HR records and HR systems, including absence, payroll and employee data.
- Producing HR reports covering areas such as attendance, payroll, trends and KPIs.
- Monitoring employment permit renewals and expiries.
- Supporting HR projects and identifying opportunities to improve processes and systems.
- Acting as a key HR point of contact for production managers and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 3+ years' HR experience, preferably gained within a busy operational or food manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation.
- Experience across a broad range of HR disciplines including recruitment, employee relations, L&D and employee wellbeing.
- Confidence dealing with managers and employees at all levels.
- Strong communication, listening and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
- Strong IT skills, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and HR systems.
