Confidential company in Ireland is seeking an HR Manager / Senior HR Business Partner to lead HR strategy for the Ireland site, aligning people plans with business objectives and supporting site leadership in performance and organizational effectiveness.

The successful candidate will bring strong HR business partnering experience, expertise in compensation, and talent management, along with deep knowledge of Irish employment legislation in a hands-on manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, business admin or a related field.
  • Master's Degree and/or CIPD qualification preferred.
  • 8–10 years of progressive HR experience with HRBP or leadership roles.
  • Experience in manufacturing/medical device/engineering environments preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish employment law and HR compliance.
  • Proven experience in talent management, succession planning and org development.
  • Experience in salary benchmarking, job evaluations and annual reviews.
  • Strong employee relations, leadership coaching and stakeholder management.
  • Proven ability to drive employee engagement and culture transformation.
  • Strong HR analytics to interpret metrics and inform decisions.
  • Excellent communication, influence and relationship-building.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Site Leader to develop and implement people strategies.
  • Advise leaders on organizational design and workforce planning.
  • Lead talent management including succession planning and retention.
  • Drive employee engagement and culture aligned with company values.
  • Oversee performance management cycles and development planning.
  • Collaborate on career development and internal talent pipelines.
  • Lead compensation activities: benchmarking, evaluations, merit reviews.
  • Monitor market trends and advise on compensation practices.
  • Develop HR policies to ensure Irish employment compliance.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, discipline, and performance improvement.
  • Oversee annual site training strategy and leadership development.
  • Lead succession planning for current and future business needs.
  • Manage site HR budget and resource utilization.
  • Utilize HR metrics to identify trends and inform decisions.

HR Manager / Senior HR Business Partner (Ireland)
Job Summary

The HR Manager is the lead HR partner for the Ireland site, responsible for aligning people strategies with business objectives and supporting site leadership in driving organizational performance. This role serves as a trusted advisor to management on talent, culture, compensation, workforce planning, employee engagement, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness.

The successful candidate will bring strong HR business partnering experience, expertise in compensation and talent management, and a deep understanding of Irish employment legislation. This is a hands‑on leadership role in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, focused on building organizational capability and fostering a high‑performance culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with the Site Leader and management team to develop and implement people strategies that support business goals and long‑term growth.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, employee relations, change management, and people‑related decisions.
  • Lead talent management initiatives, including succession planning, talent reviews, retention planning, and identification of high‑potential employees.
  • Drive employee engagement and culture‑building initiatives that strengthen Quasar's values, leadership expectations, and overall employee experience.
  • Manage the annual performance management cycle, including goal setting, performance reviews, calibration discussions, and development planning.
  • Partner with managers to create career development plans, identify growth opportunities, and strengthen internal talent pipelines.
  • Lead compensation and rewards activities, including salary benchmarking, job evaluations, annual merit reviews, promotion review processes, and compensation structure development.
  • Monitor market trends and provide recommendations on compensation and benefits practices to ensure competitiveness and alignment with business objectives.
  • Review, develop, and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Irish employment legislation and company standards.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance improvement processes.
  • Develop and oversee the annual site training and development strategy, including leadership development, capability building, compliance training, and skills development initiatives.
  • Lead succession planning and organizational capability discussions to ensure readiness for current and future business needs.
  • Manage and prepare the site HR budget, ensuring effective utilization of resources and alignment with operational and corporate financial objectives.
  • Utilize HR metrics and workforce analytics to provide insights, identify trends, and support informed decision‑making.
  • Champion the integration of company's culture into daily site operations and drive alignment with global HR initiatives across the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree and/or CIPD qualification preferred.
  • 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, including significant HR Business Partner or HR leadership experience.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, medical device, engineering, or operational environments preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish employment law and HR compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in talent management, succession planning, compensation management, and organizational development.
  • Experience conducting salary benchmarking, job evaluations, and annual compensation review processes.
  • Strong capability in employee relations, leadership coaching, and stakeholder management.
  • Proven experience driving employee engagement and culture transformation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR metrics and make data‑driven recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands‑on and execution‑focused.
