Morgan McKinley are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a long-established and highly respected Irish manufacturing business to appoint an experienced HR Manager.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished HR professional to take ownership of a standalone HR function while serving as a key member of the senior leadership team. You will inherit a well-established HR function with strong foundations already in place, allowing you to focus on supporting managers, driving leadership capability, and guiding the business through major strategic projects.
The business is entering a critical 2-to-3-year period of major transformation. This includes significant investment in a brand-new, highly automated manufacturing facility and a major ERP systems implementation. As such, we are seeking a HR professional who has directly led and navigated organisations through major operational change and digital transformation.
Location, Work Pattern & Compensation
- Location: Based on-site split across two production sites in North Dublin. A full driving licence and access to transport are required.
- Working Model: This is a fully on site role. Due to the nature of the business they can't offer a hybrid working model although there can be some flexibility with working hours for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Transformation & Change: Play a pivotal leadership role during a 2–3 year transformation window, supporting workforce relocations, upskilling, new technology integration, and organizational change during the new facility build and ERP system rollout.
- Standalone HR Leadership: Lead the full employee lifecycle across the direct employees and central support functions, providing strategic advice and operational HR support across both production sites.
- Management Capability & L&D: Continue rolling out structured Performance Development Plans and manager coaching programs to enhance leadership capability across the business.
- Employee Relations & Works Councils: Manage non-unionised employee relations, participating actively in monthly site Works Forums to maintain positive, proactive employee engagement.
- Compliance & HR Operations: Oversee employment legislation compliance, GDPR, HR administration, regulatory compliance, weekly payroll oversight, and non-EU work permit/visa monitoring for a highly diverse workforce.
About You
- Proven Transformation Experience: Demonstrated success in leading teams through organizational change, site relocations, automation/technology adoption, or system implementations is highly advantageous.
- Standalone HR Expertise: Solid background in a standalone HR Business Partner, or HR Manager role, within a manufacturing, FMCG, logistics, or operational environment.
- Strong Irish Employment Law Knowledge: At least 2 years of experience working in Ireland within a HR role to demonstrate thorough understanding of Irish employment legislation, compliance, and employee relations.
- Business Partnering & Coaching: Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior leadership, coach operational managers, and build strong trust across a culturally diverse workforce.
- Action-Oriented & Resilient: Pragmatic, solution-focused, and comfortable operating at both strategic and hands-on operational levels in a fast-paced environment.
If you are a proven HR leader looking to drive major organizational change, gain executive exposure, and play a central role in shaping the future of a premier Irish manufacturing business, we would love to speak with you.
