Based in our Head Office in Swords Co. Dublin, Harvey Norman are currently seeking an experienced HR professional to join our head office team in the role of HR Business Partner reporting to the HR Operations Manager.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a broad range of HR related tasks and will be able to work collaboratively within a supportive team whilst being confident in their knowledge and experience. The person must be well-organised, proactive, optimistic and resilient and able to communicate with influence.
As the HR Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation's next phase of development, partnering With Store Managers and other People Managers across the business to ensure that the business continues to attract, develop and retain exceptional talent. YOUR JOB – your tasks will include:
- Partner with Store Managers and Senior Leaders, providing expert HR advice and support on all people-related matters.
- Support workforce planning, ensuring the right people, skills and structure are in place across the retail network.
- Manage employee relations cases, including grievances, absences, performance, disciplinary and capability matters.
- Coach and develop managers to strengthen leadership capability and drive high performance in the organisation.
- Support talent management, succession planning and employee development initiatives.
- Drive employee engagement, retention and cultural improvement across multiple locations across the country.
- Partner with operational leaders on recruitment, onboarding and retention strategies.
- Lead and support organisational change projects, restructures and business transformation initiatives.
- Provide guidance on reward, recognition, pay and promotion practices in line with our company policy.
- Analyse HR metrics and trends to identify opportunities for improvement to support our business decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, HR policies and company procedures.
- Work collaboratively with Payroll, Learning & Development, Health & Safety and the wider HR team to deliver an effective people service.
- Maintain a regular presence across the store network, building strong relationships and understanding operational needs.
- Support the delivery of our HR strategy, ensuring people initiatives contribute to business performance, productivity and customer experience.
YOUR QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Diploma in Human Resources or related (essential).
- 3 years of experience in a HR Business Partner role (essential)
- CIPD qualified or working toward a qualification.
- Ability to travel, including overnights.
- Full clean Driver’s License required
- Data literate & evidence based.

Additional Information:
This is a permanent contract with a 6-month probationary period. An immediate start would be ideal. The successful candidate will be required to attend a company induction day in Dublin City Centre.
This is a fully on-site role based in our Head Office in Swords.
