Job summary

Matrix Recruitment Group is seeking an HR Advisor for a manufacturing client based in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. The role supports day-to-day HR operations and the implementation of HR policies and procedures.

You will drive key HR metrics, coach management on policies and Health & Safety, and manage employee relations, HR systems, recruitment and onboarding. A CIPD qualification or progress toward it is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HR Advisor/HR Consultant in a manufacturing setting.
• Must have experience managing high-volume absenteeism.
• Solid knowledge of Irish employment law and HR best practice; CIPD qualification or studying towards one.

Job description

Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a HR Advisor to join their team. This role is located in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan.

As the HR Advisor, you will assist in the implementation of HR policies and procedures and support the day-to-day HR operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive delivery of key HR metrics, including turnover, absence and retention rates, and support Health & Safety initiatives across the site.
• Coach and mentor management on HR policies, procedures and Health & Safety, and provide legal and policy-compliant advice.
• Manage employee relations, including grievance cases, absence/sick leave and Occupational Health.
• Manage HR systems, recruitment and onboarding, ensuring records are maintained and kept up to date.
• Assist with learning, development and training, company communications and engagement, and participate in HR project work.

Requirements:

• Experience as an HR Advisor, HR Consultant or in a similar role within a manufacturing setting.
• MUST HAVE experience managing high-volume absenteeism.
• Solid understanding of Irish employment law, legislation and HR best practice. CIPD qualification or currently working towards one.
• Employee Relations experience and hands-on experience with HR systems.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to advise and work with senior members of staff.
