Job summary

Vertiv Ireland Limited is seeking an Expert HR Generalist to support all employees and managers within Ireland and Northern Ireland, acting as a key business partner to functional managers and implementing HR strategy as directed by global and regional teams.

The role involves advising across HR areas, delivering workforce plans, ensuring compliance, and supporting HR initiatives with 20% travel across Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Qualifications

  • General HR advisory role in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
  • Experience across employee relations and employment law.
  • Proficient IT usage and HRIS experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Offer expert HR guidance to management and staff in line with policy and law.
  • Provide HR support to managers to meet objectives.
  • Assist HR Director with HR initiatives and improvements.
  • Collaborate with management to deliver strategic workforce plans.
  • Identify development needs and contribute to staff training plans.
  • Help develop departmental development plans to enhance skills.
  • Develop and monitor HR procedures and compliance.
  • Resolve issues promptly and cost-effectively using HR expertise.
  • Perform general HR administration and maintain personnel records.
  • Provide data to Payroll for monthly payroll processing.
  • Administer employee benefits and assist with cross-border transfers.
  • Support local works councils as required.
  • Produce HR management information and maintain data accuracy.

Job description

Expert HR Generalist supporting all employees and managers within the geographical focus on all aspects of the people strategy. The role will be a key business partner to functional managers and will also implement and maintain HR strategy as determined by the global and regional HR teams.

Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each: (This will describe the overall core responsibilities of the role, decision making responsibilities etc.)

Responsibilities
  • Offer expert HR advice, guidance and support to management and staff in line with company policy and employment legislation, across the Nordic region.
  • HR support to the Managers, to assist in the management of their staff and achievement of their objectives.
  • Assist HR Director in driving through HR related business initiatives and/or improvements.
  • Work with Management teams to develop and deliver strategic workforce plans.
  • Assist in identifying / evaluating development needs within the business.
  • Assist the Managers in the development of departmental development plans to improve skills & knowledge.
  • Development, implementation & monitoring of company HR procedures and compliance.
  • Use HR experience to help to resolve issues in the shortest timescales and to the minimum cost.
  • General HR administration duties and maintenance of personnel records.
  • Provide data to Payroll function for the correct administration of monthly payroll.
  • Administration of company benefits for employees.
  • Support the transfer of employees across borders from within and outside of the Nordic region.
  • Management of local workers councils as required.
  • Maintenance of HR data and production of management information as required.
Qualifications
  • Experience of working in a generalist of HR related function in an advisory role in Ireland or Northern Ireland.
  • Good experience on multiple aspects of employee relations, HR procedures and employment legislation.
  • IT acumen, and the ability to understand the use of HR databases and MS Office applications.
  • Strong communicator - verbal & written.
Travel
  • Time Travel Needed: 20% to other sites in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
