Job summary

Diageo seeks a People Advisor to deliver practical HR guidance to people managers, manage employee cases, and support change initiatives across Dublin and Co. Kildare. You will help ensure policy consistency and build manager capability while partnering with local ER resources.

The role requires strong advisory skills, risk judgment, and hands-on delivery of HR services in a fast-paced environment. Travel across IOI regions may be needed.

Qualifications

• Employee Relations & Policy Expertise: solid understanding of HR policies and processes; applies them pragmatically.
• Advisory & Coaching: provides practical guidance to managers.
• Judgement, Risk Awareness & Execution Discipline: applies sound judgement, escalation when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, practical guidance and coaching to people managers on employee matters, building confidence in handling day-to-day people issues.
• Manage individual employee cases up to defined complexity, ensuring consistency, documentation, and escalation to ER resources when required.
• Support HR Business Partners with local execution of business change requirements using local expertise; implement global tools and programmes with local nuances.
• Support managers on sick absence management, PIPs, and standard redundancy/exit processes; advise on non-standard policy queries and escalate risks as needed.
• Identify trends from cases, inform process improvements; support delivery of people manager capability build and guidance.
