Griffith College Dublin is seeking a Housekeeping Staff member to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for staff and students.

The role is a Full-Time / Fixed-Term position at Griffith College Dublin. Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, corridors and bathrooms, adhering to Health & Safety guidelines, and reporting any repairs required. The successful candidate will help keep all areas tidy and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere on campus.

Qualifications

• Health & Safety adherence required.
• Identify and remove trip hazards.
• Vacuuming of rooms, corridors and waste handling.
• Clean glass, mirrors and bathrooms.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Health & Safety guidelines.
• Remove trip hazards and report risks.
• Vacuum rooms, corridors and empty waste bins.
• Clean bathrooms and toilets.
• Clean all common areas.
• Ensure rooms are odour free.
• Report repairs to appropriate personnel.
• Keep cleaning areas tidy and materials stored safely.
• Maintain polite communication with staff.
• Promote a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
• Occasional ladder use, bending, stooping and lifting.

Job Summary

The role of housekeeping staff is to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for staff and students.

Job Responsibilities

• Adhering to all Health & Safety guidelines
• Removing any identified risks such as trip hazards
• The vacuuming of rooms, corridors and emptying all waste bins
• Cleaning glass and mirrors
• Sweeping and mopping floor surfaces
• Cleaning bathrooms and toilets
• Cleaning all common areas
• Ensuring that rooms are odour free
• Reporting anything in need of repair or replacement to the appropriate person
• Keep cleaning area tidy at all times and cleaning materials safely stored
• Maintain polite communication with staff at all times
• Promote a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for staff
• Any other duties that fall within the employee's capabilities
• Occasional use of ladder, bending, stooping and lifting are required
