About The Role

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, giving them a warm welcome and making sure their stay runs smoothly from arrival to departure. You will handle check-ins and check-outs, answer queries, and work closely with your colleagues across the hotel to deliver excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and carry out check-ins and check-outs efficiently
• Take and manage reservations by phone, email, and in person
• Answer guest queries and provide information about the hotel and local area
• Handle payments, billing, and cash accurately
• Deal with guest requests and pass on any issues to the relevant department
• Keep the reception area tidy and well presented
• Work closely with housekeeping, food and beverage, and management teams
• Follow hotel procedures for health and safety, security, and data protection

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a hotel reception or customer service role is an advantage, but full training will be provided
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, helpful manner
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Basic computer skills; experience with a property management system (PMS) is a plus
• The ability to stay calm and professional during busy periods
• Flexibility to work a rota including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus
