Job summary

Talbot Hotel Clonmel in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary, Ireland seeks an Operations Manager to assist the General Manager in running the hotel to Talbot Collection 4 Star standards.

You will liaise with Heads of Departments, assist budgeting and forecasting, and drive service quality across all departments. Responsibilities

• To arrive for work on time and in proper uniform.
• To deputise for the General Manager in absence.
• To build professional relationships with Head of Departments.
• To establish and implement standards of performance across departments.
• To train and develop team members within each department.
• To review menus and standards with Head Chef for all food service areas.
• To manage budget attainment and cost control across hotel operations.
• To oversee recruitment and labour cost controls.
• To support community relations of the Talbot Hotel Clonmel and Talbot Collection.
• To develop interdepartmental teams in customer care, hygiene and health & safety and green initiatives.
• To manage weekly payroll submissions in HR absence.
• To monitor rostering and staffing levels weekly.
• To ensure training records are maintained and training needs identified.
• To ensure high service standards and guest care, enabling 4 Star guest experiences.
• To up-sell Talbot Collection products and services where possible.
• To maintain compliance with Fire, Safety and Health & Safety regulations.
