Job summary

Ballymascanlon Hotel & Golf Resort, managed by Windward Management, is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join the team. The role involves maintaining a steady supply of clean dishes, glassware, and utensils, operating the dishwashing equipment, and assisting kitchen staff to keep the kitchen clean and efficient.

Successful candidates will have experience in a hotel/restaurant kitchen and be flexible to shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Flexibility in working hours including shifts in morning/evening, weekends, Christmas and public holidays
• Eligibility to work past 11pm throughout the week
• Previous experience in a kitchen environment (hotel/restaurant/bar) preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain supply of clean dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots and utensils for all outlets
• Wash dishes and glassware using a dishwashing machine
• Clean and maintain the dishwashing area at shift end
• Provide clean pots and dishes for all outlets
• Wash pots and pans and return to storage
• Assist kitchen staff by keeping areas free of boxes and soiled equipment
• Follow proper safety, hygiene and sanitation practices
• Ensure breakages are reported to Head Chef
• Keep kitchen and still room clean by sweeping and mopping floors
