Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Hotel Duty Manager to join our busy Hotel Operations Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated hospitality professional to develop their career within a prestigious 5-star hotel and resort. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the hotel while delivering exceptional service and memorable experiences to our guests.
The position involves early and late shifts, mid-week and weekend work, and requires a flexible, hands-on approach.
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in Management role
- Previous experience working within a 4 or 5 star hotel environment
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Good written and spoken English
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively with both guests and team members
- A friendly, creative and professional approach to guest service
- The ability to lead, motivate and support a team
- The ability to remain calm and professional while working under pressure
- A flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities and operational requirements
- A strong understanding of guest satisfaction and service standards
- A hands-on approach with a willingness to support all departments when required
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Assisting with the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel across all departments
- Ensuring consistently high levels of guest care, service and hospitality standards
- Acting as a key point of contact for guests and responding professionally to queries, requests and concerns
- Supporting the management team in dealing with guest feedback and complaints, ensuring appropriate follow-up and resolution
- Ensuring guest feedback is communicated to the relevant departments and used to improve service and training
- Providing operational support across all areas of the hotel when required
- Ensuring all departments maintain the required standards of service, presentation and efficiency
- Checking that all end-of-day and closing procedures have been completed correctly by each department
- Ensuring all relevant areas of the hotel are secured and locked as required
- Attending training sessions and meetings as required
- Assisting with Guest Assistance correspondence and following up on guest requests where required
- Working closely with all departments to resolve operational issues quickly and effectively
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties required to support the successful operation of the hotel
