The Royal Marine Hotel is seeking an experienced Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. You will deliver exceptional service behind the bar, showcasing cocktails, wines and premium spirits in a busy late-night environment.

We value professionalism, reliability and a welcoming guest experience, with shifts that may extend into late hours and weekends. Commuting outside public transport hours is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year's experience as bartender in a hotel or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines and premium spirits.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and late shifts.

Responsabilités

• Deliver outstanding customer service in a friendly and professional manner.
• Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, wines, beers and spirits.
• Maintain strong knowledge of menus, specials and promotions.
• Take food and drink orders accurately and ensure timely service.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
• Ensure compliance with licensing laws, food safety, health & safety and hotel policies.
• Handle cash and card transactions and operate POS systems accurately.
• Manage and restock bar inventory efficiently, minimising waste.
• Work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
• Promote upselling of premium beverages and special offers.
• Assist with opening and closing duties as requiredReport wastage, breakages, and maintenance issues
