Job summary

Castleknock Hotel in Dublin 15 is seeking a Hotel Accountant with at least 3 years’ experience in a busy hotel accounts department. The role is full-time and office-based, on-site in Dublin 15.

You will assist the Financial Controller with income audit, cash and bank reconciliation, payroll and management accounts preparation, and related reporting. The ideal candidate is meticulous with strong Excel skills and familiarity with Opera or similar accounting systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in hotel accounts.
• Experience with income audit and payroll processes.
• Proven ability to reconcile cash, card receipts and bank statements.

Responsibilities

• Income Audit: input trial balances, reconcile cash/credit card receipts, maintain cash books, posting to SUN Accounts.
• Internal Audit: supervise cash counting, floats and lodgments queries.
• Preparation of Quarterly Management Accounts: assist with monthly/quarterly/annual results and budgets.
• Reports: provide daily/weekly revenue and wage forecasts; generate weekly/monthly forecasts.
• Payroll: manage weekly/monthly payroll, issue payslips and required documentation.
• General: deputize for Financial Controller and support ad-hoc projects.
