Job summary

The Heritage in Ireland is seeking an experienced Host to join our team. This role suits a passionate Food and Beverage professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment while delivering the highest level of guest service.

As a Host, you will warmly welcome guests, manage waiting lists, handle reservations, and communicate menu details clearly to ensure a memorable dining experience for every guest.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests upon arrival, ensuring a warm, professional first impression.
• Manage and maintain an accurate waiting list during busy service periods, keeping guests informed of anticipated waiting times.
• Handle and coordinate restaurant reservations efficiently, both in person, over the telephone and via email.
• Respond to guest enquiries promptly and professionally across in-person, telephone and email communications, providing accurate information and a high standard of customer service.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the menu.
• Communicate menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods accurately and confidently to guests.
• Manage guest seating efficiently by allocating guests evenly across designated sections to ensure a balanced workload and a smooth service experience for both guests and team members.
• Comfortable assisting with any other role within the restaurant when necessary.
