Job summary

The Heritage in Laois is seeking an experienced Health & Fitness Instructor to join our team. The role includes working shifts to include early, late, weekends and bank holidays, and delivering gym instruction, lifeguarding, swim teaching and fitness classes.

You will maintain gym equipment, ensure safety, perform administration duties, and contribute to delivering our high standard of hospitality.

Qualifications

Must hold Fetac Qualification in Occupational First Aid.
Must hold Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
Must hold Fitness Instructors Certification.

Responsibilities

Maintain, upkeep and cleaning of gym equipment.
Instruct and guide members on correct use of equipment and highlight safety aspects.
Carry out all administration duties as required.
Carry out lifeguarding duties with high pool supervision and ensure safety rules are followed.
Carry out regular checks that pool and plant equipment operate correctly.
Carry out Swim Teaching for all age groups.
Lead a variety of Fitness Classes.

Requirements

Fetac Qualification in Occupational First Aid
Pool Lifeguard Qualification
Fitness Instructors Certification

Main Duties And Responsibilities

To be responsible for the maintenance, upkeep and cleaning of all gym equipment.
To instruct and guide members in the correct use of equipment, ensuring the safety aspects are highlighted.
To carry out all administration duties as required.
To carry out lifeguarding duties ensuring a high level of pool supervision and that rules and regulations are adhered to.
To carry out regular checks that all pool and plant equipment is operating correctly.
To carry out Swim Teaching for all age groups
To carry out a variety of Fitness Classes
