Paediatric Community Nursing is seeking a nurse to care for a child with complex care needs at home in Ballybrittas, overnight. This is one-to-one nursing in a family home, with the same child on every shift.

Night shifts run from 21:00 to 07:00, and nurses will receive full training in tracheostomy care, epilepsy and PEG feeding. A full driving licence and own car are essential as the home is not reachable by public transport.

Qualifications

• Experience of paediatric care in hospital or community settings.
• Active NMBI registration is required.
• Comfortable working alone in a family home overnight.
• Full driving licence with own car is essential.

Responsabilités

• Provide overnight paediatric nursing in the child’s home (9pm–7am).
• Deliver one-to-one care for a single child on every shift.
• Participate in full training in paediatric care aspects (tracheostomy, epilepsy, PEG feeding).
• Receive on-call support from a Clinical Nurse Manager.

Experience of caring for children is essential. A paediatric registration is not. If you are an RGN or RNID with solid paediatric experience, in hospital or in the community, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

• RGN, RCN or RNID
• Active NMBI registration
• Experience of paediatric care
• Comfortable working alone in a family home overnight
