Job summary

Bluebird Care Ireland is seeking Paediatric Nurses or Registered General Nurses with paediatric experience for a home-based care package in the Dublin 15 area. The role involves delivering safe, one-to-one nursing care to a baby with complex needs in the family home.

Five regular 8-hour night shifts are available weekly, with part-time or full-time options depending on the rota. Rates: €35/h (Mon-Sat), €50 (Sun), €70 (bank holidays). Support includes on-call and clinical governance.

Qualifications

• Paediatric nurses or RGN with paediatric experience required.
• Current NMBI registration (RN/RGN) is mandatory.
• Experience with paediatric care is preferred.
• Strong clinical judgement and medication management.
• Good communication with families and healthcare team.
• Right to work in Ireland; sponsorship is not available.

Job description

Bluebird Care is currently seeking Paediatric Nurses or Registered General Nurses with paediatric experience for a care package based in Dublin 15 area.

Five regular 8-hour night shifts are available each week in Dublin 15.

We welcome applications from Paediatric Nurses and Registered General Nurses with relevant paediatric experience, including nurses who can commit to two or more consistent shifts rather than the full rota.

Location: Dublin, 15.

Hours available: 5 8-hour night shifts per week (40 hours across the package)

Availability: Monday-Friday; applicants may apply for part of the weekly rota

Employment: Part-time or full-time, subject to agreed rota

Reporting/support: Nurse-led team with local clinical management support

Hourly Night Rates

• Monday - Saturday: €35 per hour
• Sunday: €50 per hour
• Bank Holidays: €70 per hour

The Role

You will provide safe, high-quality, one-to-one nursing care to a baby with complex care needs in the family home, supporting comfort, development, dignity and the family's established routine.

Responsibilities

• Seizure Management
• Care of the VP shunt
• Neurological care/observation

• Working to the individualised care plan
• Liaising with the family, Bluebird Care clinical team and relevant health professionals

What you will need

• Current NMBI registration as an RCN or RGN
