Job summary

Bulmers Ireland, part of the C&C Group, is seeking a Transport Operations Trainer to enhance safety and efficiency across depots. You will conduct on‑road and classroom training, carry out driver assessments, identify training needs and drive continuous improvement in driver safety and compliance.

The role involves collaboration with fleet management teams, tachograph rules, and Working Time Directive guidance, plus coordinating inductions and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Full C+E (Class 1) HGV licence with no points and at least five years on‑the‑road experience.
• Driver Assessor certificate, up‑to‑date HGV Driver CPC and a valid Digi card are required.
• Proficiency in tachograph analysis systems and IT skills (Microsoft Office).
• RTITB certification and/or prior experience in driver assessment or instruction are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct driving assessments for new and experienced drivers, including those involved in at‑fault incidents.
• Deliver targeted retraining based on assessments and address non‑compliance issues with Transport Management.
• Lead behavioural observations to ensure safe working practices and provide Driver CPC training.
• Coordinate inductions for new starters and maintain training records.
• Engage with Health & Safety committees and liaise with internal/external stakeholders.
