Job summary

National Vehicle Distribution in Ireland is seeking a reliable, flexible technician to join our team on a three-day shift (06:00–18:30) in a full-time role. You will perform general mechanical maintenance, prepare vehicles for CVRT, and diagnose faults using approved diagnostic tools.

Ideal candidates hold NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, have HGV or plant maintenance experience, a full driving licence, and strong communication and teamwork skills. Experience with Mercedes, Renault or Scania is a plus.

• Strong safety mindset and reliability in shift work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general mechanical planned and corrective maintenance.

This role is working on a three-day shift from 06:00 to 18:30 and full-time position

. (for Example, the work pattern will be Monday to Wednesday, off 7 days, work from Thursday to Saturday, off Sunday and then repeat.

Requirements

• Must hold a formal qualification NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• HGV or Plant mechanical maintenance experience.
• A Class one(C+E) licence would be preferable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and team working skills.
• Ability to use tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.Determined and resilient, with the drive to complete tasks.
• Ideally have experience working on Mercedes, Renault & Scania.
• Ideally have experience working with hydraulic systems.
• Full driving license.
