Job summary

PD Lift Trucks Limited based at Drumnasillagh, Ravensdale, Co. Louth, A91V213, is recruiting for 3 experienced HGV Mechanics. The role covers inspection, fault finding, engine/gearbox work and electrical system integration. You will assess faults, plan repairs, and execute servicing to a high standard.

The position is full-time (39 hours per week) with an annual salary in the €36,605–€45,000 range. Applicants should be able to communicate clearly and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Essential experience in inspection and fault finding and diagnostics
• Removal and disassembly of engines and gearboxes, including electrical systems
• Rebuilding gearboxes and synchronising electrical systems with vehicles
• Repairing and refitting engines, testing and rerunning vehicles

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair diesel engines and gearboxes in various machines such as motors, forklifts and trailers
• Prioritise workload and meet urgent deadlines without compromising quality
• Communicate faults, time estimates and job plans clearly to stakeholders
• Maintain safety and workmanship standards during full-time, 39 hours/week employment

The successful candidate will be able to perform below dutiues- Essential Experience and Knowledge in Inspection and Fault Finding and Diagnostics; Removal and Disassembly of Engines and Gearboxes, inc Electrical Systems; Rebuilding Gearboxes and fully synchronising electrical systems with the vehicle, refitting gearboxes, resetting the clutch, testing and rerunning vehicle; Repairing and rebuilding Engines, Refitting Engines to vehicles, connect and rewire all electrical components, units and modules, test and rerun vehicleInspecting, Diagnosing and Repairing Diesel Powered Engines and Gearboxes in various machines, e.g Motors, Forklifts, Trailers, Generators etc.,Prioritise Work Load and Meeting urgent deadlines without compromising quality; Applicant must be a good communicator, be able to convey faults, diagnosis, estimate time scales and job plan. This is a full-time position offering 39 hours per week with an annual salary range of €36,605 to €45,000.
