Job summary

Colas Ireland is recruiting a HGV Driver/General Operative with a full C Class Ireland licence to support road maintenance and safety. The role blends driving with practical on-site tasks, from barrier repairs to drainage, litter control and emergency response.

Expect a competitive hourly pay of €16.60 plus subsistence, overtime, and standby/on-call allowances, with 30-minute live proximity to Nenagh. You must be physically fit, able to work independently or in teams, and participate in standby

Qualifications

• Must hold a full C Class Ireland driving licence.
• Flexibility to perform hands-on maintenance work in addition to driving responsibilities.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role and in standby rostering for 24/7/365 coverage.

Responsibilities

• Drive a range of maintenance vehicles as required, including winter gritters.
• Perform maintenance work on motorways and roads to high standards.
• Carry out grass/hedge cutting, drainage repairs, fencing and barrier work, gully cleaning, and tidying depots and network.
