Job summary

MOTOR DISTRIBUTORS LTD are seeking a motivated individual to join our busy commercial vehicle workshop as an entry-level technician. You will receive full training and develop skills in fitting, wiring and maintaining electrical components on large vehicles.

No prior trade qualifications are required; a genuine interest in vehicles and a hardworking, punctual attitude are essential. Full driving licence is an advantage but not essential.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in vehicles and how they work.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced staff.
• Reliable, punctual and hard-working attitude.
• Comfortable working as part of a busy workshop team.

Responsibilities

• Fitting and wiring of electrical components and accessories on HGVs.
• Diagnosing electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Installing and maintaining lighting, sensors, alarms, and auxiliary systems.
• Reading wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
• Adhering to best practice workshop procedures and safety standards.
