Job summary

MCKENNA HAULAGE LTD. is seeking an Auto Electrician to diagnose and repair electrical faults in HGVs and trailers at our Kilmeague facility. You will install wiring, lighting, and onboard electronics, and troubleshoot battery, alternator, and starter motor issues.

You will service and calibrate braking and safety systems, read wiring diagrams, and maintain records. Collaboration with drivers and mechanics is essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Auto Electrical Systems, Automotive Technology, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an Auto Electrician (HGV experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of modern vehicle electrical systems and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in HGVs, trailers, and related equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair wiring systems, lighting, indicators, and onboard electronics.
