Job summary

The Site Engineer in Athlone will manage technical operations for a major heritage renovation and extension project valued at €18–20 million, delivering 55 residential units. You will set out, level, and survey site works and oversee construction to ensure quality, safety, and compliance.

Reporting to the project management team, you’ll coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, maintain site documentation, and drive problem-solving while promoting sustainability and Lean construction

Qualifications

• Previous Site Engineer experience, preferably on large-scale residential or heritage refurbishment projects.
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of setting out, site procedures and construction management.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic project team.

Responsibilities

• Set out, level, and survey site works per project specifications.
• Oversee and supervise construction activities to ensure quality, safety and compliance.
• Manage and maintain site documentation and coordinate with management, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Contribute to problem-solving and continuous improvement on site.
• Promote sustainability and innovation throughout project delivery.
