Job summary

HearUSA, part of the WSAudiology group, is seeking a Hearing Aid Assistant in the Dublin area. You will perform basic hearing aid troubleshooting, checks, cleaning and support front office tasks to help grow referrals and provide excellent client care.

Ideal candidates have an associate or bachelor degree in audiology or a related field, 1–2 years of experience, and comfort with new computer programs. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

  • Possess at minimum, an associate's degree in audiology from a training program approved by a national certifying body, or a bachelor's degree from a college with a audiology assistant certificate program, or a bachelors degree with a major in the area of audiology/speech language pathology/communication sciences and disorders, or possess an associate, bachelor, or advanced degree and complete 18 credit hours in coursework in audiology, 6 of which must be in disorders of speech, language or hearing; other coursework as Board approved.
  • Experience interacting with customers/clients, experience in sales environment preferred.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work quickly, accurately and independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and use new computer programs/applications.
  • Experience with team environment and achieving monthly goals preferred.
  • High School diploma preferred or equivalent work history.
  • 1-2 years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic hearing aid troubleshooting services, hearing aid checks, listening checks and cleaning.
  • Follow established marketing tools including outbound calls to enhance business opportunities and create new referral sources.
  • Work with front office staff to convert walk-in, clients recall existing clients, and answer incoming phone calls.
  • Comply with FDA guidelines, HearUSA's practice guidelines and QPG protocols while providing excellent routine/follow up client care.
  • Work within a team environment with other members of the center staff to achieve goals established by management.
  • Complete second half of HAF’s, clean and check appointments to open HCP capacity.
  • CounseIs clients on hearing aid maintenance and proper insertion.
  • Assists HCP by sending out and checking in hearing aid repairs, ordering hearing aids and accessories & setting up stock hearing aids for Auditory Simulations and fittings.
  • Check in hearing aids and repairs, order hearing aids, earmolds, accessories, scan impressions where applicable.
  • Restore settings on repaired aids and call clients for pickup.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Perform basic hearing aid troubleshooting services, hearing aid checks, listening checks and cleaning.

  • Work with front office staff to convert walk-in, clients recall existing clients, and answer incoming phone calls. Maintain a clean, inviting and friendly environment within the center for customers and potential customers.
  • Comply with FDA guidelines, HearUSA's practice guidelines and QPG protocols while providing excellent routine/follow up client care.
  • Work within a team environment with other members of the center staff to achieve goals established by management.
  • Complete second half of HAF’s, clean and check appointments to open HCP capacity.
  • Counsels clients on hearing aid maintenance and proper insertion. Assist clients with downloading hearing aid apps , pairing hearing aids to mobile phones and instructions on usage.
  • Assists HCP by sending out and checking in hearing aid repairs, ordering hearing aids and accessories & setting up stock hearing aids for Auditory Simulations and fittings. Assist HCP to ensure products are prepared and ready to dispense.
  • Check in hearing aids and repairs, order hearing aids, earmolds, accessories, scan impressions where applicable.
  • Restore settings on repaired aids and call clients for pickup. Verify hearing aids have arrived for scheduled appointments.
Requirements
