Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a Procurement Coordinator for a leading healthcare provider in East Galway. The role is on-site, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, with a salary in the 35–40k range depending on experience.

You will collaborate with hospital departments to procure materials, manage POs, and monitor stock, while leveraging SAP/Oracle ERP systems and MS Office. A Diploma/Cert in purchasing is required; APICS qualification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ work experience in Procurement/Buying/Purchasing.
• Diploma/Cert in purchasing or materials management; APICS qualification advantageous.
• Knowledge of procurement, inventory, and supplier management.
• Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills; collaborative role.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with hospital departments to procure and review all material, consumable, and service requirements.
• Place orders with suppliers, manage purchase orders, and expedite orders.
• Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reporting with key metrics.
• Manage suppliers to secure best cost, delivery, and service quality.
• Monitor and control stock levels, minimising excess and obsolete materials.
• Oversee cycle count and annual stock takes, resolve invoice discrepancies, and support warehouse operations.
