Job summary

Virtue Integrated Elder Care seeks Healthcare Assistants for permanent, full-time roles across several South Dublin sites. The positions are 39 hours per week, offering a competitive remuneration package and opportunities to contribute to resident activities.

You will work under the direction of the unit manager to supervise staff, support daily living activities, and ensure high-quality care for residents in multiple nursing homes.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Award – Healthcare or equivalent required.
• Elder care experience of 2+ years.
• Ability to motivate, supervise and inspire colleagues.
• Nursing or Allied Health degree acceptable alternative.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and enhance resident activities and events.
• Supervise and assist with the training and development of care assistants and appraise staff as requested.
• By liaising with the Unit PIC and CNM ensure that adequate arrangements are made for the reception of new Residents, and that they are made to feel welcome and secure.
• Ensure highest quality care is delivered by Healthcare Assistants to assigned residents.
• Participate in assigned and delegated tasks involving direct care and all activities of daily living under the direction and supervision of your line manager e.g., washing, toileting, dressing, undressing, dining, social activities, conversation, communication support and all other aspects of daily living
• Support the nursing staff in the organizing of day-to-day allocation of work.

We are currently recruiting for Healthcare Assistants in the South Dublin Region.

Locations

• The Four Ferns Nursing Home, Foxrock, Co Dublin.
• The Fern Dean Nursing Home, Blackrock, Co Dublin.
• The Fern Dean Stepaside, Stepaside Lane, Co. Dublin.

Contract Type

Requirements
